Backup, anyone?
I've been considering offering a secure off-site backup service to my clients. I'll offload your data to tape, store it in multiple locations, and provide restores as necessary.
Features:
- Secure, reliable backup for your image library
- Add data as frequently as you want
- Add data via FTP, mailing a CD or DVD, or (optional) on-site collection
- On-Demand restore of a single file, an entire shoot, or your entire library
- Pay only for the storage you need
- No equipment or media to purchase, maintain, store, or upgrade
Would you be interested in such a service? At what price point?
Would you prefer to pay in blocks of storage space, or per gigabyte of storage?
What kind of speed would you need for restores?
If I get enough interested customers, I'll head to the bank and start buying equipment.
Naturally, charter customers will receive preferred pricing...
